Playmaker Mkhitaryan has never messaged Arsenal asking for a permanent move.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan never told Arsenal he was eager to join Serie A club Roma permanently, says agent Mino Raiola.
Armenia forward Mkhitaryan joined Roma on a season-long loan for a fixed fee of €3million last summer and is having a good time at the Stadio Olympico, scoring a total of six goals and registering four assists in 17 appearances.
Corriere dello Sport reported on Wednesday that the 31-year-old informed the Gunners that he was eager to seal a move to the Giallorossi permanently.
But, Raiola says otherwise. adding that it is all fake news.
"Mkhitaryan did not send any message to Arsenal," Raiola wrote on Twitter.
"Specially [sic] in times like these, fake news are completely unacceptable."
