Tony Bellew: Everton Must Get Rid Of Deadwood.

The former Professional boxer has hailed the impact former AC Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea boss Ancelotti has had at Goodison Park.

Former world cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew has expressed his delight at the impact Carlo Ancelotti has had on the Toffees, but insists the Merseyside club must get rid of 'deadwood'.

The ex-boxer, who is an Everton fan, believes the Italian is the right man for the job, and predicts it will take at least two transfer windows before the Goodison Park club start contesting for the top six.

"It's a different atmosphere under Ancelotti, and it's a different place," Bellew told Sky Sports.

"The team has been playing great and I'm over the moon with the appointment. Slowly but surely, he's putting his stamp on things. I think he's going to need two transfer windows to have a full impact.

"There's an awful lot of deadwood that Everton need to get rid of, and that's just the way it is. It's a lot of deadwood that teams won't be willing to pay for if I'm being totally honest, so we've got to figure how we're going to do that but I have ultimate faith in Ancelotti.

"Top six next season has to be the goal, and then the club must build from there."
