Did you know that the average height of a Premier League soccer player is close to six feet? At around 182 centimetres, that’s as tall as Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, Spurs forward Richarlison or Real Madrid and Spain legendary defender Sergio Ramos.

9. Fabio Vieira (5ft 7" or 171 cm)
French international Fabio Vieira debuted for his country’s Under 21 side in 2019, making 25 international appearances and scoring an impressive 14 goals. He was part of their European Under-21 Championship team that finished runner-up in 2021 and was named amongst the competition’s best performers.
The midfielder has played 33 times in the Premier League for Arsenal and is currently on loan at Porto. Vieira’s only honour in the English game to date is the 2023 FA Community Shield. The Frenchman is a promising young talent and measures 5’7″
8. Julio Enciso (5ft 6" or 170 cm)
Julio Enciso has played 35 times throughout his club career for Brighton and has scored four goals so far. He has won Premier League Goal of the Season and also Brighton & Hove Albion Goal of the Season for 2023.
Enciso made his international debut for Paraguay in 2021, scoring a single goal in 19 international appearances to date having found the net during the 2024 Copa America in a 2-1 loss to Colombia. He is a small yet silky midfielder who stands at just 5’6″
7. Daniel Podence (5ft 5" or 168cm)
Daniel Podence has played for teams such as Sporting CP, Greek side Olympiacos and Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, making 357 appearances at club level and scoring over 57 goals. He has won a pair of Portuguese cups and the Europa Conference League in 2023
Podence made his international debut in 2020, earning a single cap for the national team so far. He also netted a career-best 15 goals across last season. Podence is 5’5″ and a dynamic, pacy winger capable of terrorising defences.
6. Aaron Lennon (5ft 5" or 167cm)
Englishman Aaron Lennon debuted for the English national side in 2006 yet failed to score in 21 international appearances. His best year proved to be his first full international season where he played seven times for England.
The winger has featured around 550 times throughout his Premier League career for Leeds United, Tottenham, Everton and Burnley whilst scoring a respectable 42 goals. Lennon’s only silverware as a senior player came while playing for Spurs as he won the 2008 League Cup. This tricky and darting wideman measured at a height of only 5’5″
5. Jody Morris (5ft 5" or 166cm)
Jody Morris made his first international appearance for England Under-21’s back in 1996 where he won seven caps. He was also featured in the Under 20s and Under 16s by making 15 more appearances from as early as 1994.
The midfielder featured 136 times in the Premier League for both Chelsea and briefly Leeds United whilst finding the net on five occasions. Morris saw success at Stamford Bridge, winning an FA Cup and UEFA Super Cup in the late 90s. He was known as a feisty and tenacious player who stood at only 5’5″
4. Billy Gilmour (5ft 5" or 165cm)
Billy Gilmour has played 68 times across his Premier League career for Chelsea, and Brighton and is currently on loan at Serie A side Napoli. He was part of the Chelsea squad that won the 2021 Champions League and previously named their Academy Player of the Year for 2020.
The midfielder debuted for Scotland in 2021, netting twice in 32 international appearances so far including a strike during the Nations League during a 2-1 loss to Poland. He is a skilful and intelligent player who stands at just 5’5″
3. Alan Wright (5ft 4" or 164cm)
English left-back Alan Wright debuted for his country’s Under 21 team in 1992 and yet went on to make only two international appearances. He was even named in the senior squad during early 1996 but ultimately was never capped.
The defender played over 300 times in the Premier League for the likes of Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa. He managed to win the Football League Cup in 1996 and was also named in the PFA Team of the Year that season. Wright was a reliable professional and technically sound full-back who measured only 5’4″
2. Ryan Fraser (5ft 4" or 164cm)
Ryan Fraser has been featured for Premier League teams such as Bournemouth, Newcastle United, and Southampton, making close to 300 appearances at the top-flight level and scoring 20-plus goals. He was even part of the Saints team that won the EFL Championship play-offs in 2024 which secured their promotion back to the Premier League.
Fraser made his international debut for Scotland back in 2017, earning 26 caps for the national team to date and scoring four times including two during the 2022 World Cup qualification against Israel and the Faroe Islands. He is 5’4″ and an experienced winger who is a real handful for Premier League backlines.

Tariq Lamptey made his first international appearance for Ghana in 2022 having previously featured for England and has won ten caps for the African nation to date. He has also lined up for the England Under 18’s to 21 a further 20 times, beginning way back in 2018.
The right-back has played over 100 times in the Premier League for Chelsea and current club Brighton whilst finding the net on two occasions in the top flight. Lamptey has suffered with multiple injury setbacks across much of the last two campaigns yet will be hoping for a return in 2024-25. He is the shortest player in Premier League history and stands at barely 5’4″!
