Aguero: I’m happy to get through.
Man City striker Sergio Aguero was pleased with the Citizens’ progress in the Champions League.
Man City played out a 3-1 aggregate with Dynamo Kiev, which means for the first time City book their place in the quarter final of Europe’s elite competition.
However, Aguero expressed his delight - saying they deserved to be in the last eight after their goalless draw in the second leg against Kiev at the Etihad.
“It’s the first time City have qualified for the quarter final and I’m happy to get through. City should be there (in the quarter final), he said, as mcfc.co.uk reported.
“The game was a bit weird because we waited for Kyiv to push a bit more, but they seemed relaxed. We had nothing to lose.”
Regarding facing the top sides in Europe such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich, the Argentine said: “Well, we were drawn against Barcelona the previous two years and they knocked us out. It’s a difficult rival. They’re always a favourite to win the title.
“If you want to get far you’ll have to face the best teams. Obviously, Barcelona and Bayern are always there. “The best teams right now, so if we can avoid them that’ll be good but well, we’ll have to face them in any given moment.”
