Alan Pardew can't guarantee Dwight Gayle playing time.

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says he isn't sure he can promise Dwight Gayle the playing-time he wants at Selhurst Park.

Gayle, who has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, featured in their 2-1 win over Aston Villa yesterday, but his future at the south London club remains unclear.

"Will he get enough game time here?" asked Pardew after the tie. "He wants to play and I can’t promise him that.

"He did well today though and his goal he scored it was a typical Dwight spin and turn, but it was offside."
