Alan Pardew says a two-year extension to Dwight Gayle's current deal looks set to be signed.

Crystal Palace attacker Dwight Gayle has committed his future to the Eagles by agreeing a new contract to remain at the club, according to manager Alan Pardew.

Gayle, who has been heavily linked away from Selhurst Park, has agreed to stay until 2019, Pardew confirmed.

"I believe (Gayle's) contract is agreed," said Pardew, reported. "If it's signed, I'm not 100 per cent sure.

"He's a player that scores goals and we've missed him for long periods this season."
