Carlo Ancelotti gave what he thinks will be key to winning the Champions League quarter-final game against Atlético de Madrid: "I don't think it's a problem with the system, whether we play a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3. We have to be compact, together for the full 90 minutes and with the character and bravery that this kind of match requires."
Carlo does not feel that his future at Real depends on the result of this game: "No, I don't think so. It depends on the work of a whole season. These games are a part of it. All will be evaluated at the end of the season."
Looking back on their defeats at the hands of Atlético, he considered that "every game has its problem and every game has its idea. Each defeat was different: dead ball play, lack of attitude.... They were wholly different games. It's hard to say what has happened. We have analysed it. We know that there will be two matches, we don't need to win, we could draw both games and qualify".
"Facing Cholo Simeone is a big honor, but also big trouble".
What the Italian manager was clear on is that Bale has fully recovered and will play: "Bale is fine, they're all fine, available and on the list. I have the starting XI and those on the bench very clear. I am lucky that this is so for such an important game".
