Ander Herrera praised Manchester United's travelling fans after their immense support helped fire Louis vann Gaal's team to a 3-1 FA Cup win over Preston North End.
The Lilywhites broke the deadlock three minutes into the second half when Scott Laird's deflected shot found the net.
But, United responded when former Athletic Bilboa midfielder Herrera started the come-back, as he levelled the score with a good finish in the 65th minute. Marouane Fellaini increased the deficit in the 72nd minute, and the Red Devils captain Wayne Rooney sealed the win with his penalty two minutes before stoppage time.
However, United’s no. 21 was delighted with the support himself and his team-mates received on the night.
"The support is always fantastic and it means a lot to us," Ander told MUTV.
"Today here in Preston's stadium they were fantastic. They supported us at a tough moment and we are grateful for that. We won for them because after the first goal they pushed us for the victory."
The win at Deepdale means Van Gaal's side will face the Cup holders Arsenal in the quarterfinal at Old Trafford in March.
"We have to keep playing in this competition [and it will be] against Arsenal who are one of the best teams at the moment," the midfielder added.
"But we are Manchester United and have a very good spirit and we showed it today. We have very good players and very good staff and we are going to improve."
