Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is optimistic about the "good moment" his team is currently experiencing and their readiness to tackle the demands of a busy schedule. The Gunners are set to face Bournemouth this weekend, aiming to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games.
In a press conference before their Premier League encounter with Bournemouth, Arteta expressed his team's determination to thrive despite the frequent fixtures. He stated: "Playing every three days and having to win and compete in different competitions, that is the challenge, and we are up for it. It's a huge thing, both individually and collectively. Confidence within the team is crucial, and playing well and winning matches is the best way to achieve that. We are in a good moment."
Arteta also addressed the situation of midfielder Kai Havertz, emphasising their commitment to supporting his success at the Emirates Stadium. He mentioned: "[We are] trying to help him as much as possible, giving him the confidence and minutes he needs. He needs to keep improving, and it's up to us to support him within the team."
While Arsenal have faced criticism for their lack of clinical finishing, their previous away encounter with Bournemouth resulted in a 3-0 victory last season.
Regarding the fitness of his squad ahead of the Dean Court clash, Arteta provided updates. Declan Rice and Gabriel Martinelli are unavailable due to injury, and Willy Saliba had a knock. Arteta mentioned: "We have a few players in a similar situation. We have to assess them today and adapt to the situation."
