Arsenal need stellar striker, says Ray Parlour.

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour feels the Gunners need a new striker to give their attack the focal point it currently craves.

The north London side suffered a 2-0 defeat to West Ham on Sunday as they couldn't find the back of the net in their opening tie of the new season.

They've been linked with numerous strikers with Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema being one of those rumoured to be on the managers transfer list.

"If you look at Man City, you know Sergio Aguero is their main man, for Manchester United it's Wayne Rooney and at Chelsea, it's Diego Costa. Who is it at Arsenal?” Parlour told Sky Sports News HQ.

"I didn't know who would start for Arsenal on Sunday because Theo Walcott started the Community Shield.

“I don't think they have someone who you can say 'he's definitely going to play and he will score us goals'."
