Inform Serge Gnabry is set for a long stay at Arsenal, says Arsene Wenger.
The 21-year-old is back in form and full of confidence with his displays at the Olympics - where he has helped his national team reach the finals.
Wenger said in his press conference today that Arsenal are planning to hand the German - whose current deal expires at the end of the season - a new contract.
"I want to keep Serge Gnabry and extend his contract," Wenger said at his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal's match away to Premier League champions Leicester City.
"I think we stood by him. He went to West Brom on loan, didn't play, and we had to rebuild his confidence.
"I allowed him to go to the Olympics to help Germany. I think he's here now for a long time."
Gnabry has scored six goals in five matches for Germany at the Rio Games and Hertha Berlin are keen on taking him to the Bundesliga.
