Harry Redknapp believes Arsenal are two or three players away from being serious title contenders.
Arsene Wenger's side are set to finish well adrift of Chelsea this season, with Sunday's stalemate between the two sides leaving the Gunners ten points behind the Premier League-champions elect.
But Redknapp insists Arsenal are not far behind the Blues and can be a real danger to Jose Mourinho's men next term IF they buy well in the summer.
Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the former QPR, Tottenham and West Ham boss said: “Arsenal are not far short.
“I’m sure Arsene knows, but I think they need two or three players next year if they are really going to look to win the league.
“They need a bit of strengthening down the spine of the team. I think they need another central defender, a midfield player and a striker.
“They are not easy to find, but if they can go and out and bring a bit more strength to the team [they can challenge for the title]. They have certainly got lots of fantastic talented players there already.”
