Arsene Wenger, happy with Danny`s performance.

The Gunners broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute as Welbeck assisted Mesut Özil for his first Premier League goal of the season. Wenger was full of praise for his striker Danny Welbeck, who scored his first Arsenal goal two minutes after Özil scored the opener in the first half. The Arsenal boss said to reporters: "He scored a similar goal to the one he scored in Switzerland, a cross from the left and he pushed it in". "The timing of his run is good. He had a very good performance today.

''His ball retention was good and he had a good all round game for a central striker. Knowing the media, I'm glad he got his goal as quickly as possible because you talk about this."
