ARSENE WENGER turned down a move for Memphis Depay as he has too many wide frontmen.
The Arsenal boss admitted he's a big fan of Depay, who yesterday wrapped up a £25m move to Manchester United.
Liverpool were interested too while Paris St-Germain and Chelsea were monitoring the situation.
But Wenger snubbed the chance to turn his interest into a concrete offer.
Wenger said: "I like him but we have plenty in that position."
Depay would have been battling Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Danny Welbeck, Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell for a starting berth at the Emirates.
The Dutch star said last night said: "It was an exciting and pretty hectic period, and to have a choice between so many top clubs doesn't make it any easier.
"But for me, Manchester United is an absolute dream club, so I didn't need any convincing by the guys who already play at Manchester United.
"They told me only positive things though, and I'm looking forward to playing with my Dutch teammates next to all the other great players of Manchester United."
