Arteta Lauds Arsenal’s Grit and Attitude After Hard-Fought Victory

Arteta Applauds Arsenal’s Resilience and Team Spirit After Away Win

Mikel Arteta was full of admiration for his side following Arsenal’s hard-earned triumph over Manchester United, highlighting the resilience and commitment that carried his team to a vital win.

Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, the manager emphasised the attitude that allowed his players to respond to challenges and maintain control under pressure.

“We came here away and won which is a big result. We were clearly not at our best. We attacked the box and we reacted well to unusual mistakes. The team reacted time after time in an incredible way.

“Very proud of that because that is why we got the opportunity to win the game,” Arteta reflected. His words underline the importance he places not solely on flawless performance, but on the team’s ability to adapt and respond under testing circumstances.

The Spaniard also praised the character shown throughout, particularly when the opposition applied intense pressure. “We showed a resilience and a will to win. They put you on the ropes here, you will have to have moments when you suffer.

“To find a way to win at this ground, I’m very happy with the team,” he added. Arteta’s remarks convey that the mentality of his squad remains central to Arsenal’s ambitions, often equalling technical skill in importance.

New signings have also made an impression in the early stages of the season, with Arteta noting their integration and attitude. “They have made a good impact on the team, they had a great attitude.

“Physically some of them are still not at the level we require for 95 minutes but we will get there,” he said. The manager’s praise signals a promising start for fresh additions while acknowledging the work still required to reach peak performance.

In summary, Arteta’s message was clear: while results matter, the determination, adaptability, and collective attitude of his squad remain the driving forces behind Arsenal’s progress, although they will need to improve quickly.
