Barca boss Quique Setien pleased with narrow win against Real Sociedad.

The LaLiga defending champions Barca secured a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad following a late penalty review by VAR.

Barcelona coach Quique Setien praised his side for coming through “a tremendously complicated game” against Real Sociedad on Saturday evening.

The LaLiga defending champions Barca secured a 1-0 win over Sociedad following a late penalty review by VAR as Lionel Messi kept his cool from the spot with ten minutes left to play at the Camp Nou.

Setien, however, was delighted the Blaugrana bounced back to winning ways after last weekend's El Clasico defeat to bitter rivals Real Madrid.

“We knew it was going to be a tremendously complicated game. They had six straight wins, one at the Bernabeu, and are in the final of the cup,” Setien said at his post-match press conference.

“Apart from in some phases, the game was controlled. We did have difficult times but we also created danger.

“We have won thanks to the VAR. From the bench, I did not see it as it was too far away.”

Arteta was impressed by Lacazette's focus and determination.

Vinicius Jnr has the 'quality and audacity' to be important at Real Madrid.
