Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu says the La Liga giants have no intention to sell their top players to Premier League sides.
There have been increasing rumours suggesting the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar might move to England to continue their careers at Manchester City and Manchester United respectively, but Bartomeu insists that Barca have the financial status to resist mega-money bids from top clubs in England.
"Barcelona will always have the financial means to cope with offers from English clubs for players like Messi, Neymar or Luis Suárez," Bartomeu told the Financial Times, as Sky Sports reported.
"Young players of 16 years of age receive very tempting offers from the Premier League and we lose some every season. We are competing with clubs that are owned by huge corporations or billionaires with unlimited resources."
