Ernesto Valverde was happy with Barcelona’s 2-1 win over Getafe as the Catalans extended their lead at the top of the LaLiga table to five points.
Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez scored sublime goals as Barca took full advantage of Real Madrid, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid all dropping points.
However, following the triumph, Valverde said they still have a lot of work to do.
"We knew the results before the game," Valverde admitted as Marca reported. "We were under pressure to take advantage of this opportunity and we went for it in a difficult stadium.
"We anticipated a hard game like we got and they got back into the game with their goal but we are happy.
"They made us suffer but today we are more points ahead of our rivals."
Getafe halved the deficit but weren’t able to seal a comeback, and Valverde wasn’t surprised by the home-side’s reaction.
"It was essential for us to be focused and not switch off," he said. "They are a difficult team with strong players.
"There was a time when they were better in the second half."
On Real Madrid losing to Real Sociedad at the Bernabeu, Valverde said: "I don't think much about the other teams. We have a lot to do.
"I don't know if we had a similar gap last year but we didn't win the league until the end of the second round of games."
