Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic believes that the Blues did enough to get a result against Stoke city over the weekend.
The west London club's poor form this season continued on Saturday as they were beaten by one goal to nothing at the Britannia Stadium.
‘We definitely did enough to get a result but when things aren’t going your way, you don’t get the luck you deserve,’ noted Begovic, reports chelseafc.com.
‘We created enough chances – we hit the post and slipped over when we had an open goal – but these little things don’t go your way and you need a little bit of luck for the ball to go in. When things are going your way and everything is sort of rolling, it goes in off somebody's backside and you win the games easily. We are making things hard for ourselves at the moment.’
Begovic also believed that Remy should have been given a penalty after his movement was 'interfered with'.
‘That’s obviously a talking point and it’s the referee who has to make a decision,’ said the Bosnian international goalkeeper.
‘I think it’s a tough one for us – obviously he [Remy] is trying to score a goal but he gets tripped up and gets interfered with. It’s a decision and obviously one that hasn’t gone our way, which sums it up for us.’
