West Ham United new manager Slaven Bilic revealed his delight after the east London club beat Arsenal at the Emirates, but he has warned his players not to get carried away.
Cheikhou Kouyate and Mauro Zarate scored a goal each to hand the Gunners a shock defeat on Sunday - which was Bilic's managerial debut in English football.
However, the former Croatia boss hailed the Hammers after sealing three points at the Emirates, and also said he would prefer to be this happy at the end of the campaign.
“It is a great start, there is no point in hiding it,” said the 46-year-old, as talkSPORT quoted.
“I told the guys if we will for one second we think we are going to do it then it will be catastrophic but there is no point in denying it is a great start.
“Unfortunately it is not a great finish, but it’s a great start. It’s great for us. It’s a London derby, it’s the first game of the season, against a team that is one of the biggest title contenders on their soil.
“A clean sheet against a team we haven’t won against in five years or 10 games. But it’s great.”
