Lille center- back Gabriel Magalhaes is expected to secure a move to Premier League giants Arsenal, reports Sky Sports.

The defender has been heavily linked with several clubs across Europe including Manchester United, and PSG following his brilliant displays for the Ligue 1 club, though, there were no bids from both sides for the Brazillian, who has always preferred a move to the Premier League.

Magalhaes had a medical at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground back in March before the COVID-19 chaos, but nothing materialized after that.

According to widespread reports, Magalhaes is expected to be in London within the next 48 hours for a medical at Arsenal.

It will be the second time in 12 months the Gunners have signed a player from the French club, following the signing of Ivory Coast international Nicolas Pepe last summer for a reported fee of £72m.
