CABAYE DEAL A ‘BIG STATEMENT’
Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino believes Crystal Palace have made a big statement of purpose by capturing Yohan Cabaye from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The former Newcastle midfielder reunited with Alan Pardew after securing a move to Selhurst Park last month (July). The Eagles paid a club-record fee of £10million for the Frenchman and Cascarino has hailed the business done by the south London club.
“Palace’s transfer of Yohan Cabaye is a big statement for me,” Cascarino told the Transfer Centre.
“Alan Pardew has come in and got a big signing - he could be a top-six player in any league in Europe. Cabaye will deliver a lot for Palace.”
