Manchester City have finally got their man Joao Cancelo from Juventus, with Danilo heading to the Serie A club.

City announced the signing of the right-back after a reported fee of £60m was agreed with Juve, while Danilo is rated at £34m.

The Premier League champions will pay the fee for Portugal international over three years.

After putting pen to paper on a six-year contract, Cancelo revealed he wanted the deal to happen for a while and also confirmed midfield maestro Bernardo Silva played a part in his decision to join the Citizens.

”We've spoken about it a few times, not regularly but occasionally," he said. "He told me that it is an amazing club and the atmosphere is great. That's also one of the reasons why I've decided to come.

"He is a player I admire a lot," he added. "If I remember rightly, Bernardo and I played in the same team for around eight years.

"We were together at Benfica, so we were together for a while. It will help me and I'm very excited to play with him."

Cancelo is now the most expensive full-back of all time.
