Cazorla: Three points over the Saints was very important.

Wenger's side left it late, but a Koscielny strike & Cazorla penalty sealed the win.

Arsenal sealed three points when they played Southampton at the Emirates on Saturday as a dramatic late penalty was scored by Santi Cazorla.

The Gunners came from a goal down to seal a 2-1 win over the Saints. Petr Cech's own goal broke deadlock for the away side in the 18th minute but Arsenal replied via Laurent Koscielny with a birthday bicycle kick.

And, in the dying minute the homeside took advantage of a late penalty after Jose Fonte brought down Olivier Giroud to concede the injury-time penalty, giving Cazorla a chance to seal the win.

"It was a great big story of the team because it was a hard game for us, but three points was very important to us," the midfield ace told Arsenal.com.

"I think we played much better than them. It was true the first 30 minutes in the first half we needed to press a little high.

"We had control of the game and we had a few chances through them. They had a good chance in the second half with Shane Long, but I think we deserved it."

On Mustafi’s debut, Cazorla said: "He adapted well. It is true it is their first game and they need time, but I think they are good players and they won’t need a long time to adapt to the team. We are very happy for them."

And on the penalty, the Spaniard said: "It was difficult. I tried to keep calm, and I remember it was against West Brom it was the same because the defender was touching it on the floor all the time.
