Chelsea`s summer recruit Cesc Fàbregas has brushed off suggestions that the Blues could go unbeaten in the Premier League this season.
Premier League table-toppers Chelsea have started the 2014-15 campaign in flying colours as they have won seven in eight Premier League fixtures, following their recent win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Fàbregas was a Gunner when his former club went unbeaten in the Premier League 10 years ago but when speaking after the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, the 27-year-old revealed he doesn't buy into the idea that the Blues can replicate the Arsenal Invincibles this season.
“This is a joke, this is a joke,” Fàbregas replied when asked if Jose Mourinho`s side can go the whole season unbeaten.
“I think there will only be one team who can do that, the Arsenal Invincibles 2003. I was part of it a little bit at the end and it was a different class team,” Fabregas added.
“I don't think we are there yet but we are building up a very young, talented, solid team and hopefully we can get into the final part of the season with options to win everything.”
