Chambers is now called "Canaldo" - Alex Iwobi.

Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi says defender Calum Chambers was delighted with his first-half opener against Burnley at the Emirates stadium and now calls himself "Canaldo".

The sublime finish from the former Southampton man was a beauty, it was his second goal for the Gunners and his second against the Clarets.

Following the triumph, Iwobi told Arsenal Player: “Oh my gosh, he’s still talking about it now. Everyone was talking about it in the showers. He was like “Canaldo is what they call him now”. It’s just funny.

“I think we played very well the whole game, even though we conceded a goal from a set-piece, which we weren’t too happy about. We feel like we did very well and are confident about going through to the next round.”

The 19-year-old Iwobi also spoke about how the Arsenal senior players have helped him settle in the first team and helped educated him on a few other things.

“Every time I train with them and play with them, they give me confidence,” he added, quoted. “They always help me and teach me, guide me with what I need to do on the pitch. I learn a lot playing with them and I enjoy playing with them, so it makes it easier for me.

“It’s more the young players, like Oxlade-Chamberlain or Calum Chambers, or Wilshere or Mikel Arteta. Sometimes they play for the under-21s and they educate me when I’m playing.

“When I go over, they always talk to me, tell me what I need to do and advise me on little things. I would say they help me a lot.”
