Kurt Zouma has been a key part of Frank Lampard's Chelsea side this season.
Zouma admits he is keen to repay the faith Lampard has put in him.
Kurt Zouma says he is 'very happy' to be part of the Chelsea side that secured wins against Krasnodar in the Champions League and Burnley in the Premier League.
The French defender Zouma says he constantly has to prove himself to manager Frank Lampard and that helps him stay focussed on his craft and not get complacent.
The two-time title winner has played in all six games of Chelsea's current unbeaten run and is delighted with his performances so far.
“I’m very happy to have played in the last games because the manager has given me trust and I want to give it back,” the 26-year-old said as the Mirror reported.
“Every minute I’m on the pitch, I want to prove something to him. It’s been a good run recently and the competition is here.
“I want to keep going because I feel good. Every time you are on the pitch you have to play great. I am trying to do my job.
“At the minute everything is going good.”
Zouma, who scored the second goal in Chelsea's win against Burnley over the weekend, added: “I feel like I’ve been here for ages. I want to keep going and there’s still a lot of work to do.
“I’m pleased about the clean sheets. It’s more about the teamwork and everyone is working hard. Everyone is doing their job.”
