Chelsea FC are close to an agreement with Serie A club Napoli to sign defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to various reports.

It is believed that the west London club and keen on securing the services of the highly-rated Koulibaly and they expect the deal to be done on Wednesday.

According to Sky Sports, the Blues and the Italian club have agreed a fee between £32m (€38m) and £33.7m (€40m).

The Senegalese, who has a year left on his current deal at Naples, is reportedly going to be offered a five-year contract worth around £160,000 per week net plus bonuses.

Koulibaly was not present for Napoli's first open training session of the summer, which was done right in front of the Gli Azzurri's fans yesterday.
