MOURINHO DESCRIBES THEIR 4-2 DEFEAT TO BRADFORD CITY AS BEAUTIFUL.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho revealed his thought on the Blues' FA Cup surprise defeat to Bradford City at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho’s side were leading 2-0 within 38 minutes after Gary Cahill and Ramirez found the back of the net.
Bradford City dug deep to secure a goal before half-time through Jon Stead and later in the second half, City fought hard and scored three more goals thanks to Felipe Morais, Andy Halliday and Mark Yeates which sealed a stunning win over the Premier League leaders.
However, Mourinho said the defeat was “beautiful" and wasn’t happy with how they were “embarrassed" at home in west London.
“What happened is football and football is beautiful,” Mourinho told BBC Sport.
“I think this is the beauty of football where a much better team can lose, which is difficult to happen in another sport and more possible to happen here in this country and this sport.
“The small team mentality is special. My respect goes to that and to them, they did a fantastic history for them and their club.
“I repeat a word I used before this match – It’s a disgrace for a big team to lose to a small team from a lower team.
“We must feel ashamed, me and the players must feel ashamed. Frustration is not the right word, embarrassed would be more appropriate.”
