Chelsea 1-2 PSG (2-4 agg). The Blues crash out of Europe's elite competition.
Chelsea fans have a right to boo Eden Hazard whenever they want, according to the Blues boss Guus Hiddink.
The Premier League champions poured their anger on Hazard when Oscar replaced him in the second half of their Champions League clash vs. PSG, after the Belgian swapped shirts with Angel di Maria at half time.
It was a night to forget at Stamford Bridge as the Blues crashed out of Europe’s elite competition and Hazard, who was below par on the night was targeted by fans.
After the defeat to the Ligue 1 champions, Hiddink said as the Daily Mirror reported: “They have the right to boo whatever they think.
“One can always express what they are feeling. But he was having a bit of a problem with his injury on his hip.
“I haven’t seen it (shirt swapping), but I’m aware. I’m not saying I’m unaware. That’d be too easy, just to say I didn’t see it. Yeah, it should not be done, but in some countries it’s usual you do it, and not after the game.
“It’s not a big issue for me or for them. In other countries they swap shirts at half-time rather than afterwards as it can leave them half naked on the pitch with they’re beautiful paintings [tattoos]. I don’t think it’s a big issue. I don’t think it was done with any bad intentions.”
