HERNANDEZ: I WAS NOT GIVEN A CHANCE.
Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez, who has bounced back to scoring ways since joining the Bundesliga side last summer, is convinced he would "probably have been the star" at Old Trafford or the Bernabeu if he was given the chance.
Many will argue the Mexico international is right about if he was given a chance at Real Madrid but not at Manchester United were he had so many chances after Sir Alex Ferguson' retirement.
"If I'd had more chances at United or Real, I'd probably have been 'the star' there as well - we'll never know," he told Four Four Two.
"I didn't have the chance. I never had the chance to play 20 games in a row so people could say, 'He's a good player who should stay' or, 'He can't be the star - he's not a good player'.
"Ask the United fans. The numbers are there. The difference is that Leverkusen want me on the pitch. The others didn't."
