Former England boss Fabio Capello says Italy coach Antonio Conte is "preparing" to take over the Blues at Stamford Bridge next season.
Conte, who won three Serie A titles with Juventus before taking his current job with the Italy national team, is reportedly close to agreeing a three-year deal with Chelsea.
"He is preparing for Chelsea,” Capello told Fox Sports Italia, Sky Sports reported. "He has the time to arrive and train Chelsea in the best way, as this is an important club.
"I think the most important thing will be the team he is able to put on the field. He needs defenders and there aren't that many around."
