Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew praises Sako, after 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

PARDEW: SAKO A REAL ASSET

Alan Pardew's side beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Selhurst Park on Saturday leaving them in fourth spot on the Premier League table.

Scott Dann broke the deadlock in the 71st minute but Villa responded six minutes later via Pape Ndiaye Souare.

Bakary Sako then made it 2-1 and The Eagles boss heaped praise on the match winner who sealed a move from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Selhurst Park this summer.

"He will be a real asset for us," Pardew said. "He's announced himself today in no uncertain manner.

"Once he got it on to his left foot I was actually quite confident that he would find the corner because in training he's been hitting that with real venom."
