Daley Blind prefers midfield role.

Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind has said that he prefers the central midfield role to any other role in the Manchester United squad.

Blind who is known to be able to operate from the left-back and central-defence position said to manutd.com [the official website of Manchester United] about his favorite role in the squad.

“I think midfield is a good position for me and it’s also where I can help the team the most,” Blind said.

“Maybe my qualities are better for that position but, if the trainer needs me for the left full-back position, then I will play there. It is no problem for me.”

The Dutchman has shown his versatility to Manchester United fans after playing in central defence in United’s last game against Crystal Palace, helping the team secure a rare clean sheet.

He also described his playing style to manutd.com. He said: “I think I am a player who keeps the ball and helps the rest of the team.

“I’m somebody who tries to play the easy pass instead of the difficult option, but it’s also there (in this area of my game) that I have to improve myself. I always try to do my best and do what the coach asks of me.”

Blind moved from Ajax to United in the summer and has been a consistent starter.
