Tottenham Hotspur secured a memorable 2-1 win over Manchester City at the Etihad and Danny Rose, who was really impressive on the day, hailed the Lilywhites - adding they are not scared of any side.
“This result shows that we’ve got great character, great mentality, our morale is superb and we’ve got a great manager,” said the 25-year-old, as the club's official website quoted.
“We’re not scared of anyone and we’ve shown that. People are waiting for us to slip up somewhere and across the last two times we’ve come here we’ve conceded 10 goals, but we came here to play and have got a deserved three points.
“As for me, I don’t think I had a better game than anyone else – we started the match well and the subs had a great impact in the second half.
“I remember we lost 2-1 at home to Newcastle earlier in the season when their subs came on and won the game and we said that once our subs come on in any match we want them to do the same. Coco (Erik Lamela) has come on and done that today. He went on a great run, played a perfect through ball to Christian and he’s slotted it in on his birthday – it’s a great birthday present for him!
“It was Harry Winks’ birthday when we played Norwich away and we sung happy birthday to him on the way back, so we’ll do the same for Christian!”
