Hull City are keen to secure a win over Arsene Wenger's side on Saturday at the KC Stadium, after their 1-0 win over Liverpool on Tuesday night saw them move four points clear of the bottom three.
The Tigers are in 15th position in the Premier League table and after back-to-back wins over Crystal Palace and Liverpool, Dawson - who scored the winning goal against Brendan Rodgers' side – says they are determined to make it three wins in a row to secure safety for Steve Bruce's team.
"Obviously the most important thing is the three points but what we could take out of that (victory) was also the performance and the character," he told Sky Sports.
"We showed it at Palace, too - we knew that was a game we needed to win and I think it gave us confidence. To put back-to-back wins together in the Premier League is tough.
"We'd gone into the Palace game on the back of some bad results. Our performances weren't bad but at this time in the season, it's all about results. Thankfully it's all come together in the last couple of weeks.
"People have been writing us off with the run-in we've got but the character in the dressing room, the gaffer, the fans, the belief - we've shown that.
"We've still got a job to do. We need another win and if we can get that against Arsenal it will be a great end to the season."
