De Bruyne pleased with Manchester City’s mental strength.
Kevin De Bruyne lauded Manchester City's mental strength after they came from behind to secure a 3-1 win over Leicester City at the Etihad.
Jamie Vardy scored the opener in the 22nd minute, but the Citizens responded through Riyad Mahrez eight minutes later and Ilkay Gundogan made it 2-1 by slotting a penalty into the net after Raheem Sterling was fouled in the box.
Gabriel Jesus added the third in the 69th minute with a close-range strike after De Bruyne made an unstoppable run and crossed the ball.
“I think it was a really good game,” said De Bruyne as mancity.com reported. “Defensively we had a lot of energy and except one or two chances, I felt we dominated the game fully. We played really well.
“I think mentally we’re very strong. Today was a really good performance and every game we’re going to do our best and play to our best level.”
