David de Gea sends Man City warning after Manchester United beat Tottenham 2-1.
David de Gea is convinced Manchester United upset Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Red Devils secured a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford as Marcus Rashford's double sealed three points.
However, the Spaniard reckons they can get a result at the Etihad this weekend if they perform like they did against Jose Mourinho's Lilywhites on Wednesday.
“I think we controlled the game really well,” the Spaniard told Manutd.com. “It’s a massive win for us and let’s see if we can keep this level and keep winning.
“It’s a special game against Man City, the derby. Let’s see if we can win there. It’s a tough game but if we show the same as we did tonight, we will have chances to win.”
De Gea reserved praise for Rashford who has registered 9 league goals so far this season.
“Marcus is in very good form and showing his talent,“ the shotstopper said. ”He is a great finisher. he scored two and could have scored even more goals. We are happy that he is scoring goals for us and playing as he is doing. He is a great player.”
