Dembele is in Mauricio Pochettino's plans.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed Mousa Dembele has a future with the Lilywhites.

The former Fulham midfielder was tipped to leave White Hart Lane this summer, as his playing time at the club reduced since Pochettino became Spurs boss last summer.

However, the Belgium international has been told he will be part of his manager's plan ahead of their opening game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

"Yes, he's in my plans, Dembele," said Pochettino, as Sky Sports quoted. "I think we need to try to provide him (with a platform) to show his real quality here.

“It's true the last season was difficult for him, but (not) only was it difficult for him at Tottenham - with his national team too.

"We need to try stuff to help every player and Mousa is another player we need to help to try to give him the chance of giving his best when he has the facility to play."
