Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has reached 50 European goals.
The 36-year-old Ivorian made it 50 by scoring the 4th goal in Chelsea's 5-0 triumph over Schalke 04 on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League.
Speaking to Chelsea's Official website about the achievement, he said: ‘Knowing I began my first campaign in 2003, so 10 years later, 50 goals in 10 years, I am really happy with that.'
'I scored a lot with Chelsea but I always remember my first game with Marseille in Madrid, my first goal and it was an amazing day, even if we lost against the Galacticos, but the memory is good.'
The goal makes Drogba the first African to reach 50 goals in Europe. Drogba can add more to his tally as Chelsea have qualified for the second round with a game to spare.
