Dier expects Fiorentina’s fans to be right behind their side at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Eric is confident in Spurs' ability.

Tottenham go into the second leg of their Europa League Round of 32 clash with Fiorentina on Thursday and Eric Dier is expecting an intense atmosphere.

The first leg last week at White Hart Lane ended 1-1, with Roberto Soldado scoring the opener and Jose Maria Basanta equalising for Fiorentina - who have the advantage heading into the tie at the Stadio Artemio Franchi tonight.

However, Spurs defender Eric is convinced the Lilywhites are capable of beating the Serie A club at their own turf in Italy.

“It’s going to be really tough, a really difficult game, but if we play how we know we can and how we did in the first half when they came to us last week then I think we’ve got a good chance,” said the 21-year-old.

“We know how they like to play – they defend very well, they’re very good tactically so it’s going to be a really difficult match.

“Their fans are very vocal as well so I’m expecting a great atmosphere, but for us there’s no other way to look at it – we’ve got to try to go through.”
