Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann reckons Arsenal will beat Chelsea to the Premier League title, as Jose Mourinho will be more concerned about winning the Champions League.
The Portuguese boss, who re-joined the west London side back in 2013, didn’t win Europe’s biggest prize during his first spell at the Bridge and will be looking to win it in his second.
Hamann also reckons Louis van Gaal’s side will push for second place while Manchester City and Liverpool battle for the fourth spot.
“I fancy Arsenal and Manchester United to finish one and two because Chelsea were the favourites,” he told talkSPORT.
“The reason Jose came back, I think, is to win the Champions League. That doesn’t mean he is going to throw the league away this year, but if he has to make a decision between Wednesday or Saturday, Wednesday will always be his focus and his more important game because he wants to win the Champions League with a club he loves so much.
“Arsenal are my tip and I think Manchester United will run them close. Chelsea third and Liverpool might be able to pip Manchester City, but I probably think City have enough to finish fourth.”
