New PSG boss Unai Emery is hoping to "achieve big things" at the Parc des Princes and doesn't accept the Champions League is the Ligue 1 side's sole objective.
The French side appointed former Seville boss Emery last week after they relieved Laurent Blanc - who won three league titles on the bounce - of his duties.
"Expectations are very elevated at a big club like this, it is a club of winners. What is the limit of this team? There is none," Emery said at a press conference broadcast live on psg.fr.
"The Champions League? Of course it is an important aim, but there are others. Our goal is to continue progressing, improving and growing."
According to the club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the Spaniard was the only choice to replace Blanc.
"He was the first option, the first choice, we didn't speak to anyone other than coach Unai,'' Al-Khelaifi said."He is a coach who works very, very hard, who is close with the players and who has developed young players -- that is very important for us."
