Estevao Willian Thanks Chelsea for Premier League Opportunity and Fans’ Warm Welcome

Estevao Willian Is Pleased With The Opportunity Chelsea Have Given Him in The Premier League

Estevao Willian’s Premier League bow may have lasted less than a half, but the young Brazilian walked off Stamford Bridge glowing with gratitude and ambition.

At only 18, the winger has been entrusted with a place in Enzo Maresca’s squad, and his first appearance showed why Chelsea were so eager to bring him to London.

Introduced shortly after the interval in the goalless draw with Crystal Palace, Estevao wasted little time in putting his mark on the contest. His quick feet and direct dribbling unsettled defenders, while his willingness to compete physically suggested he is more than ready for the demands of English football.

Speaking afterwards, Estevao admitted that the moment was one he had dreamt of, but above all, he was thankful.

“I feel so good,” he said told Chelseafc.com. “It’s an incredible experience to be here playing in the Premier League, and I’m so grateful I have been given the opportunity here. I have adapted a lot quicker than I thought I would, thanks to the manager, the coaching staff and all my new team-mates. They have made me comfortable and given me confidence.”

The teenager’s chemistry with Cole Palmer was immediately noticeable, and Estevao acknowledged how important that connection is to his development. “Everyone has helped me adapt to the game, but also the new conditions here,” he added. “I’ve connected well with Cole already, and that makes it easier.”

Despite the hype surrounding him, Estevao is determined to keep his feet on the ground. “I’m enjoying every minute, and I’m not trying to make things happen faster. I’m taking it day by day and enjoying it as much as I can,” he said.

The Chelsea fans, too, have already left their mark on him. Their warm reception has fueled his desire to repay their faith. “The way the fans have treated me since I arrived has been incredible, so I am going to do my best to make them happy.

“I am going to keep working hard every single day. I want to win matches, and if we do that, we will win trophies as well.”

It was a first step for Estevao, but a memorable one, a debut that offered a glimpse of why Chelsea believe their young Brazilian is built for big stages.
