The 20-time champions shouldn't bother trying to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane, says Danny Murphy.
The former Spurs and Liverpool midfielder doesn't think selling Kane would be the right decision and has urged the Lilywhites to hold onto the England international for good.
“I don’t think Harry Kane will be going anywhere, ever,” Murphy told talkSPORT. “If Spurs keep progressing, he could be the player they build the team around. They could break the wage structure for him.
“If they sell Harry Kane in the next couple of years, could you imagine the uproar?
“If they sell him, they might as well give up. What’s the point if you can’t keep Harry Kane?”
