Manchester United legend Paul McGrath says Radamel Falcao isn’t happy, after the former Atletico Madrid striker failed to perform in their 3-1 win over Preston.
Falcao secured a season-long loan switch from Monaco to Old Trafford on transfer deadline day, with an option of a permanent deal.
But, the 29-year-old Colombian hasn’t produced the kind of performance he had while he was at Porto and Atletico Madrid and has struggled to find form, scoring four in 19 appearances for the Reds.
As it stands, it is unlikely he will be signed on a full-time deal in the summer and former Irish international McGrath reckons the pace of the league maybe affecting the striker's game.
“Radamel Falcao is not getting the sort of service he would at other clubs he’s played for,” he told talkSPORT. “United have been a bit nervous and a lot of the team has changed from next season.
“He goes on runs and the ball just doesn’t come to him or it comes to him too quickly and it runs through to the goalkeeper.
“He thrives on little things on the box and even those things aren’t coming off for him at the moment.
“Maybe it’s the pace of English football or the Premier League, but he’s out of sorts.
“It’s certainly not working out for him. You can see his reaction when he got bought off last night, he’s not happy at the club.”
