Fellaini urged to leave Manchester United to boost his Euro 2016 chances.

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots has urged Marouane Fellaini to consider leaving Manchester United in the January transfer window.

The big Belgian, who cost the Red Devils £27million, hasn't been able to secure regular football at United this season as he has started just one Premier League game so far.

However, Wilmots is hoping Fellaini starts getting games under his belt with Euro 2016 just seven months away.

"A player who does not play for his club is annoying for a coach," said the Belgium boss, while speaking to Le Soir.

"Fellaini could play to support the attack, as the No.6. He has very good technique, very good ability to track back and recover.

"Maybe he will try to find a new challenge in January, if it is possible."

Fellaini has scored six goals in his last seven international games for Belgium.
