Mikel says Hazard “didn't like to train hard. While we were working he was waiting for us to finish training just standing there.”
Ex-Chelsea star John Obi Mikel says Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard is the laziest player amongst all his former team-mates.
The Trabzonspor midfielder spent five of his 11 seasons at Stamford Bridge alongside Hazard.
Speaking with beIN SPORTS in Turkey, the Nigerian hailed the Belgium international - who scored 110 goals in 352 appearances for Chelsea - but he said otherwise of his work ethic when he was quizzed about the laziest player he ever trained with.
"Hazard has incredible talent," Mikel said. "Maybe not as good as [Lionel] Messi, but he can do whatever he wants with the ball at his feet.
"He didn't like to train hard. While we were working he was waiting for us to finish training just standing there. But on Sundays he was always man of the match, it was unbelievable."
