Paul Ince says Liverpool must return to winning ways when they play Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Reds failed to extend the gap at the top of the Premier League to five points as they played out a 1-1 draw with West Ham on Monday night.

Manchester City now have the chance to go top with a win at Everton on Wednesday and former Liverpool midfield ace says Jurgen Klopp’s side must win over the weekend to prevent slipping down the league table.

The former England international told PaddyPower: “That feels like a must-win game – alarm bells will start to ring should they fail to win that.

“Liverpool also need to be wary of Tottenham. At the minute, they’re playing their football knowing that the eyes are nearly all on the top two. In fact, they’re only two points behind City now and should be taken more seriously as a threat.”

The 51-year-old also reckons the Liverpool players need to avoid social media.

He added: "My advice to the players would be to try and focus now. If you can, try to turn off being constantly on social media, try to avoid a lot of the noise, get your head down and remember how you got to this stage."
