Former England skipper: Mourinho has "a team with all the ingredients".

Former England captain Alan Shearer has praised Manchester United's impressive start to the 2017-18 season, as he reckons Jose Mourinho's men will be difficult to stop.

The Red Devils sealed back-to-back 4-0 wins against West Ham and Swansea in the Premier League and Shearer says United have a side "with all the ingredients to do it (win the league)".

"This is a team with all the ingredients to do it," he writes in the Sun. "They are big and powerful — with pace on the pitch and strength in depth off it."

Romelu Lukaku's good start at Old Trafford (which has seen him score three times in two games), is a real boost to United's chances, according to the former Newcastle striker.

"What any striker needs when he joins a club, particularly when it is for a huge transfer fee, is a good start," he continues.

"Well, with three goals in his opening two games, Lukaku has certainly had that and you can see the confidence in him."

"It is so far, so good as they try to build on the momentum of their cup double last season," he added. "The manager is a serial winner, he knows how to get these jobs done — particularly in his second season."
